The Joint AOHUPO–AOAPO– π-HuB Global Summit 2025

In October 2025, the Asia-Oceania Agricultural Proteomics Organization (AOAPO) co-organized the Joint 12th Asia Oceania Human Proteome Organization (AOHUPO), 8th AOAPO, and 3rd π-HuB Global Summit, held in conjunction with the 13th Chinese Human Proteome Organization (CNHUPO) Congress in Guangzhou, China, from 11–14 October 2025 (www.aohupo2025.com). The congress was a major international gathering, attracting over 1,200 participants, including more than 170 international scholars from 24 countries, highlighting its strong global reach and regional impact.

The joint meeting provided a vibrant platform for scientists from Asia, Oceania, and beyond to exchange ideas and showcase recent advances in proteomics, multi-omics integration, and data-driven research. In addition to the main scientific sessions, the congress featured four hands-on training workshops, offering participants practical exposure to state-of-the-art proteomics technologies, analytical tools, and data interpretation methods.

Within the agricultural proteomics track, sessions focused on cutting-edge research in plant and animal proteomics, food safety and quality, environmental proteomics, and translational applications. AOAPO members presented innovative studies demonstrating how proteomic approaches can be translated into improved crop stress tolerance, enhanced productivity, and more sustainable agricultural systems.

Collectively, the discussions underscored the increasing importance of open data sharing, shared research infrastructure, and strengthened regional and international collaboration to address emerging challenges in agriculture.
